The North Carolina AIDS Action Network improves the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS and affected communities through outreach and public education, policy advocacy, and community-building to increase visibility and mutual support of people living with HIV/AIDS throughout our state.

Hearts with Haiti, Inc., is a Raleigh, NC - based 501c3 nonprofit that fundraises to support street children, the disabled, and disadvantaged youth in Haiti. The programs supported by Hearts with Haiti are widely regarded as among the most effective, unique, and impactful missions in Haiti. As Executive Director I oversaw successful fundraising campaigns for two earthquake-ravaged facilities in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and provided oversight over all operations including, but not limited to fiscal management, board governance, fundraising, strategic planning, administration, donor management, marketing, media, personnel, reporting, and international relations.Increased annual giving by 80% from individual, foundation, and corporate donors to fund a capital campaign and ongoing programming. Built and sustained partner relationships with in-country programs serving more than 300 young Haitians including orphans, school children, and individuals with special needs. Implemented transformative operational improvements to accounting, compliance, marketing, and database management.
