As a Finance Manager, my responsibilities encompass overseeing the maintenance of the fixed assets register, analyzing and advising on business operations with a focus on revenue and expenditure trends, and ensuring the meticulous preparation and presentation of comprehensive accounts reports. I act as an objective source of independent advice to guarantee the validity, legality, and achievement of goals. In addition to managing the finance department, including the accounting and warehouse teams, I diligently maintain financial records in compliance with policies and procedures. My role involves daily reconciliations, efficient collection, and deposit of sales revenue, as well as planning and chairing finance meetings to review the company's financial position and implement cost-reduction strategies. I meet all financial reporting and statutory deadlines, balance creditors and debtors accounts, update ledgers, and oversee stock management. Furthermore, I play a crucial role in coordinating and resolving conflicts related to the company's ERP system (SAGE), identifying and recommending risk aversion measures, and remitting statutory deductions. Continuous management and support of budget, cash flows, and forecasting activities are integral parts of my responsibilities.
