• Identify investigative opportunities, pursued lines of enquiry and gather evidence• Conduct in-depth investigations into highly complex and serious cases• Research, review and analyse evidence; assess evidential quality • Identify specific requirements for cases, request and coordinate a wide range of resources• Build trusted relationships with potential victims to ensure a culture of working in a strong partnership environment to safeguard, support and manage vulnerable individuals through investigation and to trial• Work with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) to build cases, manage evidence and documentation • Plan, prepare and deliver suspect interviews up to PIP2 level standard, meet all challenging timescales as well as developing and managing interview strategy, manage upwards to advise senior officers on policy, legislation and best practice• Develop partnerships with multiple agencies and stakeholders, including solicitors and interview teams, medical professionals and other statutory authorities to share information and develop safeguarding strategies• Manage a high case-load of investigations and regularly present evidence to prosecuting authorities
