With a deep passion for aviation and an unwavering commitment to my family, I am a professional pilot, entrepreneur, and dedicated public servant. My family is the cornerstone of my life, inspiring and empowering me to reach new heights. My journey in aviation began at the age of 14, and from that moment, it became a driving force in my life. My career has spanned the roles of a Part 119 System Chief Pilot, Part 135 Director of Operations, an airline captain, and the founder of my own charter airline. I have navigated the complex and boundless horizons of the aviation industry, turning challenges into opportunities and achieving significant milestones.My commitment to service extends far beyond the flight-deck. As a City Commissioner and former Mayor/Police Commissioner, I have led efforts to rejuvenate and rebuild my community. I played a pivotal role in the resurrection of a struggling charter airline, established a new police department, and personally launched nine successful startups that fostered economic growth and innovation.In my time as Mayor, I was honored to be invited to a global conference on political renewal, where I had the privilege of speaking on civil rights. This opportunity allowed me to engage with global leaders and advocates, sharing insights on the critical importance of civil rights in today’s world. My participation in this conference underscored my commitment to justice, equality, and the continuous evolution of our political landscape to better serve all citizens.In addition to these local and global efforts, I have served on the boards of the Florida League of Mayors and the Florida League of Cities Legislative Policy Committee, where I effectively merged my aviation knowledge with a determined focus on critical issues such as Transportation, Affordable Housing, and Veterans Affairs. My military background as a Navy veteran has deeply ingrained in me the importance of championing veteran causes.In 2019, I was honored to be appointed to the National League of Cities Public Safety and Crime Prevention federal advocacy committee. This role allowed me to contribute to the development of federal policies on crime prevention, substance abuse, disaster preparedness, and more—further solidifying my commitment to national and community welfare.My life is driven by a deep commitment to family, a passion for aviation, and a dedication to public service.
