With our help, provided at no cost to customers, more than $2.7M of upgrades have been invested in 800+ homes across the state since January 2020.

Reestablished the Baltimore team, hiring and onboarding five new staff members during the COVID-19 pandemic, while also managing administration of existing classes, and an $80,000 office renovation. In 2020, our team enrolled 97 adult learners in remote IT Support courses, and supported 81% of graduates in securing jobs or internships within 1 year. Responsible for annual budget of $984,400 and relationships with funders and industry partners.

Managed and facilitated the GIVE Fellowship, a nine-month experience designed to prepare young professionals for civic engagement and leadership throughout their careers, including strategic volunteering projects completed in partnership with nonprofit organizations.

Created the A+ Advisory Board program and new school-business partnerships resulting in more than $1 million in cash, in-kind gifts, and volunteer time for city schools. Organized an annual Collaboration Conference to foster exchange between 175 program participants.

Managed a contract with the Baltimore Department of Housing and Community Development to improve residential energy efficiency services for low-income homeowners. Provided on-the-job training experience for 24 apprentices re-entering the workforce and generated $945,000 in revenue by completing 134 weatherization projects in FY 2014.

"The People Side of Sustainability"Within the private sector, Geoff has worked with Green Teams at General Motors, MarquipWardUnited, Green Bay Packaging, Lion Brothers, Acadia Windows & Doors and Kirk-Habicht Company to spur sustainability action by co-facilitating a series of customized workshops organized by the Regional Manufacturing Institute of Maryland and funded by the US Department of Energy. He has also delivered Green Manufacturing courses to participants from McCormick, Sherwin Williams, AAI, E-Structors and Cobham as a contractor to the Maryland Technology Enterprise Institute.Stack’s public sector clients have included Morgan State University, Enterprise Community Partners, Baltimore City Public Schools, Prince Georges County Public Schools, Green Street Academy, the Alliance to Save Energy, The Natural Step International and the Technology and Innovation in Manufacturing and Engineering (TIME) Center at the Community College of Baltimore County.

Integrated green building principles into design solutions for civic, institutional, and private redevelopment projects. Introduced project collaborators to whole-systems sustainability approaches, informing concepts for bringing natural water, energy, and nutrient cycles into daily use within degraded urban environments. Conducted LEED® evaluations and sustainability guidelines for neighborhoods and buildings to reduce the impacts of conventional construction practices.

Organized lesson plans and led students in hands-on activities to facilitate their exploration of the marine, terrestrial and human habitats of New England. Designed and guided construction of the native landscape surrounding the School’s green office building.

Provided design and technical support for projects including the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, Kentucky, the US Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland and the USDA Campus on the National Mall in Washington, DC.
