Responsible for a team of 5 Business Relationship Managers (BRM) controlling 273 leased and tenanted pubs in the Midlands and Mid Wales, with an asset value of over £150m and operating profit of £18m.• Managed an investment plan with a budget of £2.25m generating 33% return on investment against a target of 28%.• Developed Regional Tenant Recruitment plan enabling the highest number of lettings in the company - a 50% increase on previous year.• Identified a cider opportunity within the region and using a key supplier devised a sales incentive that increased sales by 400% - 1000 cases per period to 4000 cases in 8 weeks.• Increased commitment of BRMs through open dialogue at weekly breakfast meetings to share best practice and raise issues. Implemented Reward and Recognition programme to reward any team member, head office employee or customer who has gone beyond the call of duty to support the business. Team achieved two European incentive awards for over achievement of sales targets.• Recruited 3 new BRMs to the region, 1 of which is now performing within the top quartile of the company within their first 6 months. One existing BRM was able to achieve a final place at the Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers Area Manager Awards 2008.

• Develop a strategic change management programme to improve credit processes from an internal and customer perspective. This involved an I.T. project and 2 business process changes to be implemented to the field.• Implement new department structure following change programme.• Direct responsibility for credit management and Debt collection.• Lead and motivate a department of 71 people by implementing a Reward and Recognition culture.

Carried out holding relief as Acting Regional Operations Director. This involved motivating a team of 11 BRMs and maximising profitability. Moved region from the worst performing (17th) profit performance against budget to 12th within 3 months.

Approached to join a new company start-up as a Business Development Manager to manage an area of 52 tenancies across the Midlands and to maximise the barrelage and rental incomes of the area.• Implemented new processes for start up company• Involvement with venture capitalists and non exec directors in developing strategy• Relief for Operations Director carrying out Business Manager reviews and training/induction programmes.
