I have 6 years of combined experience in 2 different branches of civil engineering. I spent my first 3 years as a field engineer in of the biggest general contractors in the Philippines. I was able to be part of the team that planned and supervised the construction for 2 projects (a 30-story office building and a mall-hotel). I am experienced with execution of plans and making on-the-spot decisions as well as coordinating with the different subcontractors to ensure the project is done smoothly without compromising quality and safety. Afterwards, I was given an opportunity to work for the engineering and construction arm of the Philippines - the Department of Public Works and Highways as a flood control engineer. although the job is very different from my previous one, I accepted it because it is a great privilege to work for one's own country. Here, my responsibility was to supervise different consulting services (master plans, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering designs) for flood control. I am involved from the procurement of the project up to its completion. These studies have been a requirement to construct flood control structures in the Philippines.On my free time, I like to play basketball, travel (locally and internationally), play video games, and cook (aka copy recipes from YouTube)
