The PDEng is a salaried post master program that aims to increase technological knowledge by learning from and with experts of various industries and academia.• 1st year: Process and product design knowledge deepening, TNO design project on CO2 utilization

Boostani is a startup with the aim of developing plastic materials for food packaging applications that are more sustainable and fully recyclable. This can be achieved by adding functional (nano-)additives to the respective polymers. Within Boostani I am responsible for coordinating all relevant activities regarding the development of the mixing process starting with the idea generation and experimental design, followed by equipment selection and trial execution, and ending with the sample analysis and evaluation. Next to me, the R&D team consists of an intern and a graduating Bachelor student, that I am supervising.

As a Tech Train in the Technical Asset Management I was responsible for identifying and assessing process optimization opportunities. The overall goal was the improvement of the plant reliability and reduction of running costs of auxiliary equipment. To achieve these goals, I was performing and evaluating practical operation trials as well as creating, verifying and evaluating Aspen Plus V8.8 process simulations.
