Working in a top tier COMAH site has already been an incredible experience, and promoted skills within myself which I've wanted to accentuate. I'm very excited about the future within this industry and I hope to maintain continued development through training I've been so fortunate to experience previously.Since starting, I have already completed the ILM Team Leader and Management course through Jarrold Training facilities.

At Palm Paper Ltd I first completed a 3 year apprenticeship, with an additional 2 year in house programme, resulting in a Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Engineering. Participating in an apprenticeship within such a diverse environment, consisting of the most modern technologies, has allowed me to establish a comprehensive understanding of process engineering. With an ever growing company, the opportunity to gain specialised training has been ever present, including relevant training programmes needed to operate a 50MW CHP plant. Learning how to operate a CHP plant has given me a wider perspective, allowing me to troubleshoot and problem save in a broad and efficient manner. During my first year at Palm Paper Ltd, I gained valuable experience working directly with production staff and learning each aspect of the manufacturing process. Including several trips to an industry specific engineering university in Germany.Since, I've been working with a very experienced electrical team, who have a vast knowledge of not only their current role, but an extensive understanding of almost every aspect of electrical engineering. This has been extremely beneficial throughout my education and I continue to learn a great deal on a day-to-day basis.In 2019 I started a HND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Most of the course was completed during the COVID19 pandemic which presented an amalgamation of problems, all which I learnt to overcome through ought the duration of the course. As with most qualifications, it fuelled my hunger to know more and to continue learning about the ever evolving technologies which we use more and more frequently in the engineering industry.
