The SGM for Training is responsible for the professional development of 25,000 students annually on 3 active component and 2 national guard component installations providing advanced individual training and career development training for all Soldiers and NCOs across all three components entering or assigned to the Aviation Branch.

Chief Career Management NCO and the USAACE Proponent for Organization and Personnel. Responsible for researching, analyzing, staffing, and coordinating the eight life cycle functions (Acquisition, Compensation, Deployment, Development, Distribution, Structure, Sustainment, and Transition) for all enlisted Army Aviation Soldiers in all COMPOs. Includes approximately 18 Career Management Fields, 13 Additional Skill Identifiers, and 30,000 Soldiers.

Garrison CSM for an expeditionary joint and partner nation base in support of USASOUTH and SOUTHCOM objectives. Lead a team of Directors that included DPW, MWR, Resource Management, Operations, and Logistics to provide sustainment and support to Service Members and Civilians in Honduras in a Joint, Combined, and Inter-agency Environment. Oversaw the execution of Master Planning, Construction, MILCON budgeting and provided guidance, advice, assistance, and recommendations on policies and actions affecting tenant units.

Responsible for an organization comprised of 3000 Soldiers, NCOs and Officers, more than 1,000 ground vehicles and 124 aircraft. Provides asymmetrical and strategic thinking, exercises advanced problem solving and decision-making skills; applies effective leadership principles with individuals, groups and organizations in fast-changing, complex, and global environments in order to advise the Brigade Commander. Responsible for the synchronization of all staff functions.

Responsible for an organization comprised of 732 Soldiers, NCOs and Officers, more than 300 ground vehicles. Provides asymmetrical and strategic thinking, exercises advanced problem solving and decision-making skills; applies effective leadership principles with individuals, groups and organizations in fast-changing, complex, and global environments in order to advise the Battalion Commander. Responsible for the synchronization of all staff functions.

Supervised aviation unit maintenance (AVUM), intermediate (AVIM), and depot maintenance in activities having a mix of aircraft maintenance and/or component repair MOS'. Prepares studies, evaluations, special reports, and records pertaining to aircraft maintenance, component repair, and related activities.Plans aircraft maintenance areas, components repair shops, and facilities. Apply production control, quality control and other maintenance management principles and procedures to aircraft maintenance and shop operations. Supervise the verification and validation of technical manuals, training devices and contractor furnished training material pertaining to new aircraft and/or component fielding. Supervise the development and instruction of training programs. Recommend and establish plans, policies, and procedures for aircraft maintenance operations. Maintains supply economy and discipline. Knowledge of all ABCS systems and understands their deployment on the battlefield. Supervises and instructs subordinates in proper work techniques and procedures. Reviews, consolidates and prepares technical reports. Provides and oversight of a flight operations section that is responsible for the reporting of flight violations, preparing of situation maps, receiving and transferring classified information and participates in the crash rescue system.

Contacted individuals and conducted interviews with those who are prospective enlistees into the Army; contacts representatives of schools, corporations, civic groups, and other agencies to present the career and employment opportunities of the Army;presents formal and informal talks to organizations, groups, or individuals; writes, edits, and presents recruiting material for use by local communications media; interviews and counsels individuals on enlistment incentives, Army benefits, and educational opportunities; evaluates applicants, using screening tests; prepares forms and documents as part of enlistment processing; counsels disqualified applicants; assists in market research and analysis of recruiting area.
