With a strategic base in Cape Verde, George leads 1TRIBE's mission to harness Web3 technologies to empower African communities, promoting digital literacy and economic growth.He manages 1TRIBE's online media platform, Cape Verde's first-ever all-English media platform. This inclusive, community-driven initiative is dedicated to showcasing the essence, diversity, and dynamism of the African narrative. It is a platform where Africa's authentic tales, creativity, and innovation are nurtured and brought to life.George has spent the past decade driving and promoting the development and adoption of blockchain technology in Africa and the UAE. He has worked with leading blockchain ecosystem players, including Polkadot, WatermelonBlock, Legerium, BitcoinME, Katalyst Africa, and Avalanche, among others.In 2024, George led 1TRIBE in a strategic partnership with Cabo Verde Digital, a special-purpose vehicle of the government of Cape Verde, to implement 1TRIBE's AfricaOnChain program. This initiative, in partnership with the University of Cabo Verde (Uni-CV) and Avalanche, aims to build the capacity of Cape Verdean students, techies, and creatives, ushering them into the dynamic world of blockchain and Web3 technologies.
