About George Baker

In 1981, I made the decision to establish my own ships agency and customs clearance business. As with any new venture, the early years at George Baker Shipping Ltd were tough, but with a wife, four young children and substantial bank funding secured against the family home, failure was never an option. Now in 2023, I look back with pride on what has been achieved. With my son David now at the head of the family business, as Group MD and with my daughter Sharon providing invaluable support as an Executive Director, the company continues to make remarkable progress.
