I am a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Conservation and have a strong passion for reptile and amphibian ecology and population conservation. My goal is to work as a wildlife biologist/ecologist studying populations of reptiles and amphibians. I have been working extensively with reptiles and amphibians since 2014. My experience began as a Natural Resource Management major at Bristol County Agricultural where I had the opportunity to take courses related to wildlife, headstart threatened turtles, conduct independent research, and participate in a variety of other unique wildlife-related opportunities. During my time at UMass, I was actively involved with the student chapter of TWS and conducted research with salamanders. I spent four years working at a research technician studying a population of northern diamondback terrapins in Massachusetts, spent two years volunteering at the Buttonwood Park Zoo and have assisted with several other research projects. Currently, I am serving as an AmeriCorps member at the Georgia Sea Turtle conducting animal husbandry and research with carolina diamondback terrapins. Through all of my experiences, I have become well-versed, in field work, sampling and marking techniques, animal husbandry, data entry and analysis, using mapping software, and speaking at professional conferences and to lay people. My passion for wildlife goes beyond work and academia. I have spent countless hours of my free time recreational field herping, photographing and filming wildlife, and enjoy using my footage to create informative videos for my YouTube channel and producing other content for social media.
