Software Developer
- Built up software development skills and practices over three months, starting with fundamentals like command line, Git and fundamental JavaScript while solving increasingly difficult Katas throughout- Worked in pairs learning more complex topics and principles, including higher order functions, object-oriented programming, error handling and callback functions, all using TDD- Learnt about asynchronous code, promises and web servers, building apps with express and databases with PSQL. Later linking these concepts to create a fully functioning back end API and hosting it in a CI/CD environment- Following this was front end, creating accessible well styled webpages with CSS in React, then combining these with the backend API project to fetch and present data for a website project deployed to the cloud -The Bootcamp culminated in a group project working with four colleagues developing a React Native app in an agile environment
