As a key member of the Head and Neck Cancer and Melanoma clinical programs, I work with leaders across all clinical and research departments to develop and implement key fundraising strategies, assist in translating institutional priorities into appropriate major gift fundraising efforts, collaborate and work closely with academic, physician and clinical leadership in identifying and responding to gift opportunities, and maintain a flow of information about these priorities throughout the organization. Using direct referrals from physicians and leadership, I qualify, cultivate and solicit potential donors as well as steward current supporters. Maintain portfolio of 110-130 potential prospects. Secure 5- and 6-figure gifts for clinical and research programs. Drawing on relationships forged and trust established across a decade at the institution, I am also the point-person for Fox Chase faculty in making gifts to the institution.

Recruited to build Fox Chase’s first dedicated donor relations program. Responsible for: creating and instituting new recognition and stewardship policies and procedures; creating special, targeted communications for both internal and external audiences, strengthening relationships with FCCC and building a culture of philanthropy within and beyond the organization; overseeing all cultivation and stewardship events, stewardship reports and gift acknowledgements to donors, and special projects including publications and video production; working collaboratively with colleagues in Communications; managing a staff of two – Associate Director of Donor Relations and Associate Director of Donor Events.

Oversaw production of all written communications for a department of 90 and serving constituents of the School of Medicine and Health System – comprising faculty, alumni, donors, grateful patients, trustees, and community leaders; planned and directed the production of communications geared toward relationship building, stewardship, and development; wrote and edited all communications drafted for the Dean/Executive Vice President, including speeches at all development-related events. Collaborated with Director of Donor Relations, the Director of Services, and the Associate Director of Institutional Events; hired and managed a staff of four: Associate Director of Communications, Senior Staff Writer, Staff Writer, and administrative assistant; assigned freelance writers, designers, and photographers.
