• Taking full ownership for monitoring the erections of MSE (mechanically stabilised earth) walls in the Earthworks Department on the West Corridor Project, a 10km 8-lane highway that includes four large interchanges with eight crossing bridges and five ramp bridges • Accurately estimating the fill material behind the MSE walls, coordinating machinery and labour, and compiling clear and concise look-ahead programmes for the department• Demonstrating initiative and responsibility by meticulously executing key tasks within a multi-million return production department and reporting directly to the department head• Drawing upon burgeoning leadership and management skills by assigning appropriate roles and responsibilities to a team of skilled engineers • Regularly monitoring deadlines to keep progress on track by operating towards adequate monthly production timings and an outstanding end result• Gaining valuable experience in the delivery and management of large construction projects along with the demands of coping under pressure • Liaising with Engineering Consultants to coordinate and inspect completed tasks to ensure they meet standard requirements and high quality end results• Meticulously planning day-to-day tasks by accurately examining the drawings and reporting the weekly needs for the erection team with regard to the panels being cast on site and requiring a 4-day curing before installation • Taking the opportunity to experience other departments, such as quantity surveying, to ensure that accurate cooperation is established and maintainedKey Achievements:• Transformed daily progress record system into a more accurate system to increase efficiency and minimise mistakes, resulting in a commendation from a supervisor • Tasked with responsibilities above and beyond current level due to exhibiting advanced qualities resulting in daily contact with supervision consultants
