I designed oil and gas production facilities and CCS facilities for several clients. One was a large oil and gas processing plant feeding a power generation plant in the Amazon River basin. I designed several CCS systems including amine H2S/CO2 removal from production gas, water saturated CO2 gas compression from 16 psia to 2700 psia and TEG dehydration of the CO2 stream for sequestration. I designed a Sulfatreat system for removing H2S from a water saturated H2S/CO2 stream then a molecular sieve system to dehydrate the remaining CO2 to a -100 °F dewpoint. I have deep experience in designing piping and pipelines for ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4 and ASME B31.8 systems.

I advised senior management on all surface facilities issues relating to their O&G facilities in the DJ Basin. I designed all DJ Basin horizontal multi-well pad O&G facilities including separation, metering, compression, tankage, pipeline pump stations, piping, automation, layout, process modeling, operating procedures, etc. I supported the construction manager on the construction and installation of those facilities including purchasing of engineered equipment. I also managed the EPC company (Freezer Engineering, LLC) that we used in the DJ Basin. I left the company when they ceased operations in November 2016.

Designed a produced water injection facility, designed layout for a three well production facility on a single well site and wrote return to production procedures for a fire damaged well site recently purchased from a 3rd party. All projects were in the Utah Paradox basin. I left the company in the fall of 2014 when they ceased operations.

I was the lead facilities engineer on the BP Nakika GoM Deepwater offshore platform during 2010-2012. I also provided engineering review and vetting of all platform facilities for the $1.9 B Galapagos Expansion to the platform. I updated the original Nakika Platform Operating Procedures.

I reviewed and edited the BP Marlin Deepwater offshore platform operating procedures. I also traveled to Trinidad to evaluate the condition of two 2500 Hp inlet compressors that had been built 18 months prior to my trip and then stored in a construction yard. I visited the Galeota Point gas processing plant where the compressors were to be installed. I wrote a report on the cost and requirements for using the existing compressors versus two other compression options that I developed. The report included scope, layout, cost estimates, utilities requirements and compression/piping process modeling for all three options.

•Developed several projects that significantly reduced the inlet pressure of the platform resulting in extended life for several wells. These projects generated an average of 3800 boepd over 4 years at a cost of $2.8MM. Developed and managed projects to improve plant reliability caused by liquids in the export compressor dry gas seal feed, poor performance of the produced water handling system and hydrate formation in the fuel gas system. These three projects increased plant uptime from 92% to 98%. Developed and managed the refurbishment of the platform living quarters. Developed a $35MM compression project that reduced the platform inlet pressure from 400 psig to 200 psig.•Developed and managed many small $25M to $5MM projects.•Provided troubleshooting/optimization of plant process and mechanical issues.•Managed 3-5 engineers, providing mentoring, assignment of duties and evaluation of performance while managing several of my own projects. •Provided input to the Marlin platform operations team, subsea team, marine team, D&C teams and other central engineering maintenance and project teams.

•Developed and managed the installation of LNG storage, piping and transfer pumps to allow the Anschutz plant to sell excess LNG to Union Pacific Railroad for their Los Angeles, CA basin rail system. The existing NRU plant separated N2 from methane operating at -280o F at the top of the separation column. With the methane being sold and the N2 recycled back to the reservoir for pressure maintenance. Some of the methane was further purified and used as a refrigerant for the process and sold as LNG. •Developed inlet compression projects for the Anschutz, Painter, and Whitney Canyon fields in the Wyoming Overthrust Belt. Managed appraise through define stages on the Anschutz ($1MM) and Painter ($3.1MM) projects and appraise through operate stages of the Whitney Canyon (13.8MM) project. I was project general manager on the Whitney Canyon project. The project was completed in 11 months from appraise to operate. Anschutz and Painter involved installation of two 1000 Hp and conversion of one 8500 Hp reciprocating compressors. Whitney Canyon involved the installation of a 10,000 Hp electric motor driven centrifugal compressor and upgrade of the existing production gathering system. I believe that fully involving operations, maintenance and other stakeholders in FEL is critical to the success of any endeavor. •Developed and managed the installation of a JT plant ($750M) for the Glasscock Hollow field.•Participated in a PSM audit at the Florida River plant.•Provided rotating equipment expertise to groups outside of my immediate responsibilities including Wamsutter, BP Pipeline, and San Juan Basin.

•Expanded the East Painter gas gathering system with an abandoned pipeline to accommodate an increase in production rate of 20 MMSCFD from new drilling.•Optimized the East Painter N2 injection piping system to reduce OPEX by $225M per year.• Developed and managed appraise through early execute stages of the $21.8MM Anschutz inlet compression and gathering system project. This project involved the conversion of two 8500 Hp N2 injection compressors to inlet compression and installation of ten new wellhead liquid separation/metering units and associated pipelines.• Developed and managed appraise through early execute stages of the conversion of two Anschutz NGL/NRU 7500 Hp residue gas compressors to inlet compression service ($1.8MM).•Developed and managed the ($1.7MM) conversion of two 7500 Hp reciprocating gas compressors from single stage residue service to two-stage residue compression service. This project improved the safety and reliability of the operations; and resulted in annual operating cost savings of $525M and incremental production of 1.5 MMSCFD.•Developed and managed the installation of a Mafi-Trench expander/generator system ($2.7MM), an inlet gas conditioning system ($1.6MM), and inlet gas TEG dehydration system ($1.1M) for the Anschutz plant. •Managed the upgrade/modification of two RB-211 gas turbines driving 20 MW generators and their support systems over a two-year period. A CAPX expenditure of $1.6 MM during 1990-1992 produced $1.8 MM in annual OPEX savings for the life of the plant.
