Focused on developing models for the automation of bad debt outsourcing with linear programming based on dynamic requirements for volume, quantity, quality and special agreements with external partners. Continued mentoring data scientists across the organisation, including junior managers. Owner of the Data Science Internship and Master Thesis hiring pipeline, interviewing and placing interns across the organisation, and helping teams create positions to retain talented young data scientists. In the autumn of 2022 it was estimated that I helped hire approx. 10% of all data scientists in Klarna.

Launched own team of 4 data scientists called Distress Modeling in Klarna’s Decision Services Domain.Scaled the initial work to cover more markets and products. Created automated batch and event drivenprediction flows for the team’s models. Pioneered the use of AWS solutions by autonomous teams of datascientists in Klarna and helped onboard teams in several of the company’s domains. Hired, trained andmentored data scientists in own team and across the organisation.

The only Data Scientist in Klarna’s Debt Collection Domain, I created the company’s first Distress Models - ML models predicting the probability of customers with late payments to be recovered. A/B tested strategies for outreach campaigns by phone, email and SMS to late customers and created the first models predicting who can benefit from extra friendly reminders. Pitched, tested and built an Airflow system to support theoperational activities of 3 debt collection oriented teams, including the new data science oriented flows. Used time series forecasting to predict volumes of default and created dashboards for live monitoring.

Worked as an instructor at several dive schools including a PADI Career Development Center and a boutique dive shop where I was the only instructor. Taught beginner courses such as Open Water, Advanced Open Water, but also moreadvanced courses like First Aid/CPR, Rescue Diver, Divemaster and higher specialties like Advanced Wreck Diving, Deep Diving, Nitrox. Issued a total of 171 certifications.

Worked on several research projects focused on Household Finance and Empirical Asset Pricing. Used super granular data of all Swedish residents over a period of approx. 15 years, including detailed ownership of financial instruments, debts, housing, cars, etc. merged with demographics such as age, education, mobility and health. Created the first set of Fama French factors based on actual Swedish asset prices to be freely used for academic research.
