As head of Global Human & Environmental Safety, Regulatory & Registration Compliance, Green Chemistry, Microbiology and Analytical Chemistry functions, I currently help The Estee Lauder Companies develop robust and efficient processes that ensure proper compliance in regions where we operate. I translate science into effective, long-term action plans in support of the business and serve as the ambassador to the various regulatory agencies around the globe. I have supported a wide range of global businesses covering areas such as Foods, Drugs, Cosmetics, Fragrances, Biocides and In-door Pesticides. Career accomplishments include:► Transformed Global Safety Assessment & Regulatory Affairs Division into a world-class organization that not only ensured compliance for six businesses in over 100 countries but created a division that is a real competitive advantage for the company.► Led the scientific strategy that enabled the company to become the very first within the industry to share its product ingredients on its website and to flag all allergenic ingredients beyond what was mandated by global regulatory bodies.► Spear-headed the mapping of a documented formal process that enabled the team to conduct due diligence on more than dozen potential acquisition targets in a consistent, systematic, cost-effective way.► Mentored many employees throughout my career, including some who were struggling and who now have become integral to the company’s success. ► Refocused the culture within my Division to “broaden and elevate” which became a model that attracted up and coming scientists from the R&D community.
