As an Associate Behavior Analyst I work under the supervision of the Behavior Analyst to decrease problem behavior and increase skill acquisition for clients with neurological and/or other related disabilities. I monitor and evaluate the implementation of behavior intervention plans and work with the Behavior Analyst to address areas that need further training. I evaluate behavioral issues, assist with the development and implementation of behavior plans, complete required documentation, take behavior data, develop and implement in-service training, and assist in educating treatment team members. I interact with child/adolescent and family in their home or community. Activities are then designed to address each youth’s unique social, emotional and behavioral needs through skill development in such areas. I am responsible for planning and implementing service plan goals and interventions.

I worked in a Neuropsychology lab as a research assistant on a dementia project. We are trying to differentiate Alzheimer's disease from other forms of dementia through a 3 hour battery of neuropsychological tests and examine the relationship between neuropsychological (i.e., cognitive) dysfunction and actual functional ability in patients with various forms of dementia.
