FreeWire is an electric vehicle charging manufacturer deploying battery-integrated EV fast charging solutions at scale. The scope of my work at FreeWire includes the implementation of the federal National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) and Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary Grant (CFI) programs, state, regional, and utility funding opportunities for DCFC deployment, demand charge management, peak load management, EV infrastructure supply chain bottlenecks, energy storage policy, and creating partnerships with anyone and everyone interested in those spaces.

At the Technology Transition Corporation I conducted state policy analysis for the American Biogas Council and coordinated the ABC's Mid-Atlantic Chapter to advance the biogas industry in that region. My responsibilities included tracking state level biogas policy, creating Mid-Atlantic Chapter Conference call agendas and leading Chapter meetings, recruiting member companies to join ABC, drafting public comment letters, coalition-building, updating the ABC website, drafting marketing emails, and assisting in event coordination.

At the Environmental and Energy Study Institute, I interned in a hybrid role doing communications and policy. I conducted communications through EESI social media accounts and wrote articles for our climate change solutions newsletter. Additionally, I tracked Congressional activity related to energy and the environment, and summarized developments to EESI staff.In addition to communications, I also conduct a congressional activity tracker for EESI staff. The tracker includes daily legislative activities such as the introduction of bills, committee hearings, and passage of legislation relevant to our staff and grant-writers.

As a Senior Field Manager at Ohio Citizen Action, I was responsible for organizing and carrying out a grassroots environmental campaign. This included dividing Ohio's residential areas into canvassable sizes, identifying areas that would provide a high number of contacts, training organizers on environmental issues and in-person communication techniques, and tracking my crew's statistics in order to target our training and strategy more effectively. OCA campaigned across the state of Ohio against Ohio's House Bill 6, a nuclear and coal bailout that would eliminate the state's renewable portfolio standard and raise electricity rates across Ohio.
