Since September 2022 I have worked part time with Host Staffing at a multitude of events across London, including work in venues such as Twickenham, the Royal Albert Hall and St Pauls Cathedral. These shifts are often very long (10+ hours) and go on until after midnight, so doing them has taught me the endurance to push through fatigue and tiredness and still deliver a good service. They have also improved my social skills, as every shift I attend I work with new people and serve hundreds of customers.

Throughout year 13 and my gap year I worked behind the bar at David Lloyd Beckenham. The position involved serving customers, making drinks (ranging from coffees to protein shakes to alcohol), running food from the kitchen to customers and maintaining a clean, well-managed bar whilst doing so. Working here really improved my customer service and problem solving skills as I would often have to deal with upset customers and find a resolution. I also learnt discipline as I would be relied on to open and close the bar by myself a lot of the time.
