George G. is a DoD at 75th Ranger Regiment, U.S. Army. They is proficient in Chinese. Colleagues describe them as "There is a difference in wanting the best for a person and demanding the best out of a person. Wanting the best is nothing more than a hope for success. Demanding the best of a person on the other hand is settling for nothing less than what you know they are capable of and then pushing them beyond. George Gurrola is the kind of leader who recognizes the character of those around him and demands the best from everyone. He is the kind of person who makes people, groups and organizations stronger because he puts action into what he does. A book he once gave me said “Educators take something and make it complicated. Communicators take something complicated and make it simple” (Maxwell, 1999). I think this perfectly states the type of leader George is.
