Responsible for the safety, training, and welfare of 106 Soldiers and NCOs and 4 Officers. Directs the administration, training, supply, organizational maintenance and physical security of the company. Responsible for coordinating and supervising the execution of the mission, training, and supporting tasks directed by higher headquarters. Also responsible for the maintenance and accountability of $25 million of equipment.• Selected ahead of peers to lead 151 Soldiers from four separate units within the Battalion on rapid mobilization to Washington D.C. to provide Security for the 59th Presidential Inauguration. Successfully accomplished the mission and was the only Company in the task force to have zero accountability issues for the entirety of the operation.• Improved morale rating from 40% to over 90% within first 12 months of Command.• Implemented immediate training plan to improve tactical proficiency and physical fitness. Soldier readiness increased in every metric over a 12-month period.• Built relationship with 5th Special Forces Group to provide world-class, enhanced marksmanship, medical, and communications training for my Soldiers as well as for a sister unit within my Battalion.• Rated in the top 3 Commanders by senior leadership. Advised Afghan police leadership on personnel management as part of 14-person Security Forces Advise and Assist Team mentoring and training 600 Afghan police while deployed to Afghanistan for 9 months. Planned and coordinated available assets and provided fire support for all operations within 200-person company. Synchronized air space and firing assets to directly support ground forces with lethal and non-lethal fires safely and effectively.• Effectively coordinated joint and multinational forces, enabling seamless synchronization of all air and firing assets during combat operations in hostile area controlled by insurgent forces; ensured mission success.• Planned, resourced and led over 16 mounted/dismounted combat patrols in austere conditions with no losses; ensured mission success, increased proficiency of Afghan police, and increased stability and security in region.• Managed logistical and administrative requirements and air coordination to safely transport 14-person team and $1 million of equipment through austere conditions in Afghanistan with full accountability and no losses. • Managed employment and pay system for 7 interpreters as team linguist manager; managed work and rest cycles for interpreters, ensuring at least 2 interpreters were ready at all times for every operation.• Selected out of 50 officers as primary administrative advisor for 2 district headquarters of Afghan Uniformed Police Officers, role usually for officer with 4 more years of experience; enhanced Afghan Police proficiency.• Noted by commander for “superb performance” during combat operations in Afghanistan and for “leadership, tactical and technical expertise, and ability to multi-task that was integral to team’s success” in combat.• Completed 5-month Field Artillery Basic Officer Course.
