Despite difficult and sometimes slim profits, we never incurred a loss on any project. For over 25 years, we stayed closely held, relying on the original $370,000 loan which was repaid in 2001.

The 660 acre project was North Carolina's first large, sold-out, compensatory wetland mitigation bank. Barra Farms Phase One is now in its 27th year of documented ecological improvement and has been recognized by wetland experts as one the finest wetland mitigation projects in the United States. Barra Farms Phase Two is successfully represented by Restoration Systems today.
