As Executive Director of Workforce Operations I led the People & Culture team: payroll, HR, safety, injury management, diversity & inclusion, education research & development, volunteers services and staff accommodation divisions. Organisational change, coinciding with a major redevelopment and ongoing COVID pandemic management required a pragmatic approach to prioritising workforce deliverables amongst unprecedented challenges.As part of a newly formed executive team in 2021 I was responsible for the creation and delivery of the 21/22 Workforce strategic and operational plans. We managed the Covid-19 surge workforce demands to ensure a multi-skilled and agile workforce to deliver safe quality healthcare during the pandemic peak, achieved through redeployment, shared resources, partnering with community organisations and recruitment. During 2021 our workforce expanded by up to 250 people to staff the opening of a Vaccination clinic, Covid monitoring, ED screening, increased Support Services, Concierge and Swabbing. Achievements in 2021 also included Culture & Wellness actions through successful grant applications, Best You program and Champions, establishing a Diversity & Inclusion division within P&C, major operational structure change, behavioural standards and values refresh, staff parental nursing room and full policy and legislative compliance review. Workforce planning included strategies to recruit and develop core specialists skills within our workforce within a competitive and restricted local talent market due to holds on international recruitment.A proud note to finish as part of the team to achieve the National Safety & Quality Health Service Accreditation (NSQHS) having stayed on an extra 5 months after giving notice to support this goal.

Northeast Health Wangaratta is a leading Victorian health service consisting of 1600+ staff providing health care to more than 90,000 people across North East Victoria. Our hospital has a 24/7 Emergency Department and offers an extensive range of healthcare services as well as a residential aged care facility, Illoura. I lead a large People & Culture team responsible for HR functions, Industrial Relations, Payroll, Recruitment, Safety and Injury Management and a large staff Accommodation portfolio. I am also hands on in coaching and supporting leaders to problem solve and deliver outcomes in line with our goals and values. 2020 has been a unique year to commence in Public Health, Covid-19 has required us to implement change at a rapid pace, communicate and deliver services in new ways and apply a strong focus on staff wellbeing and compliance.

Wodonga

Vitasoy International Holdings Ltd & Lion Dairy & Drinks Joint Venture. With one production facility in Wodonga, Vitasoy leads Australia’s plant milk category. As the factory based lead for People & Culture, Safety & Wellbeing and Industrial Relations including Union consultations and EBA negotiations, I supported the Site Leader to implement strategic change, workforce planning and budgeting. A combined hands on and strategic role I partnered and coached leaders to deliver culture & safety performance improvement, compliance and change management. I led the team to achieve the first successful LDD Workplace Supplier Audit with McDonalds and then supported other Lion sites to successfully achieve compliance.

Wangaratta

Dunstan’s Construction Group offer a range of Civil Construction services from NBN installation, gas pipelines & trenchless drilling. Dunstans also operate a forestry fleet and engineering workshop. Our staff ranged from full time to FIFO and project teams. I was responsible for HR & injury management, processing payroll and leading industrial relations. This was a hands on role within a small leadership team we delivered large scale projects with some of Australia’s renowned mining and trenching contractors. I worked closely with HVP to deliver forestry fleet safety compliance. I also coordinated the engineering and mechanical apprenticeships, Dunstans online contractor induction and all training requirements.

Cobram & Rochester

Devondale Murray Goulburn is Australia's largest dairy foods company. The production facility at Cobram Victoria is the largest cheese manufacturing site in Australia. Under new Executive Leadership at MG my role heavily involved frontline Industrial Relations and Union consultation, rolling out a major restructuring program that resulted in 80 redundancies at the Cobram Site. I also introduced new strategies for seasonal recruitment and pre-employment screening. I led a site based team responsible for HR, Training & Development and Payroll functions.

Albury

Formerly Mountain H2o I was responsible for HR, Payroll, Recruitment, Safety & Injury Management. I managed 300% growth in workforce and the workforce transition with Joss Distribution. I left during the Asahi / Schweppes Australia merger with Mountain H2o.

Benalla

Particleboard and Timber Mill Factories based in Benalla. I was responsible for HR Management, Workplace Relations, EBA negotiations, Safety & Injury Management, Training & Leadership Development, Payroll, Audits & Compliance.

Beechworth

Responsibilities included records management, HR and Safety administration, Recruitment, WorkCover administration and assist with Payroll functions.
