I am a retired environmental planner and former landscape architect.I currently volunteer with Quaker and Anthroposophical Organizations. I am a member of Yonge Street Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends, a Board member of the Trillium Waldorf School, the Anthroposophical Foundation of Canada, The Samuel Rodgers Memorial Trust and sit on committees of the Rudolf Steiner College Canada and other similar organizations.In addition to my past volunteer experiences I have over 30 years of experience conducting environmental assessments with 25 of those years as an environmental planner for transportation facilities. Responsibilities include route evaluations and selection; social sciences inventory, impact assessment and mitigation; public and external agency consultation; environmental design input; environmental approvals and permitting; and, environmental federal and provincial documentation preparation. Participated in multi-disciplinary project teams delivering engineering and environmental assignments within the provincial transportation program by compiling environmental information, interpreting significance of data, assessing impacts, developing/evaluating alternatives, developing mitigation/compensation measures, public and agency consultation, and preparing/editing /approving federal and provincial environmental documentation to ensure timely regulatory approvals of the planning, design, construction, operation, and monitoring of transportation facilities.
