As a long term member of the HITEC team, I have had a front row seat as well as a guiding hand in our growth from a small private company into one of the pillars of the Humanetics Group of companies. Not only have we grown in size but in footprint as well, now possessing manufacturing capability in both the USA and in Sri Lanka. Likely one of the most enjoyable accomplishments of my career was in leading the integration of the Sri Lankan facility and experiencing the culture for the first time.While my formal education is engineering, it’s actually the commercial aspects of the job which I enjoy the most and have excelled at. That combination of a strong technical foundation with a gift for how to relate it to the commercial side of the business has gotten me to where I am today.Back when I was a cadet at the maritime academy, it was all about the unique hands-on approach to building leadership skills. Now many years removed from that experience, and as my career at HITEC has grown, I have used that same approach in developing my team, in encouraging employee growth, and of course, in working with our customers.I am generally a pensive and reserved leader with great listening skills.
