After graduating college, George Manikas, President of G&M Construction started doing small home improvement jobs out of the backseat of his car. With every job completed he would build his toolbox with some of the profits. This was the formula for about a year, until George realized he’d outgrown his own backseat. So he traded services (on a job with a material cost of $21.00) for the company’s first work van....a blue Dodge. Now able to carry more materials and tools, the jobs got bigger and George’s satisfied customers began to recommend him. As demand for work grew, so did George’s vision. First, he hired an extra set of hands, who happened to be his best friend from kindergarten. Then he decided it was time to officially name his business. The first incarnation being G&M Home Improvements. The initials were a combination of George and in honor of his father, Michael. The company officially incorporated in 1988, as G&M Construction Corp. Consistent to it’s beginnings, the success of G&M is still built on the lasting relationships and word of mouth referrals. Today, the company is thriving in all phases of residential and commercial construction. With multiple crews and multiple vehicles, G&M has the capacity to handle any type of project. From a $5M Commercial construction project to a $175 service call and everything in-between... G&M Construction Corporation is your reputable, diversified full-service construction company with the quality craftsman and craftsmanship to suit our every clients’ needs.
