A motivated, hard-working geologist graduate and geotechnical engineer who thrives in both challenging and stressful working environments. Well versed at working proactively both individually and within a wider team to produce high quality technical reports, as well as keeping to time and goal orientated targets on both short and long-term basis. Individually, I push myself to a high standard of attainment and am dedicated to the work that I do.I am now working as an assistant geotechnical engineer with GEA, where I independently handle client and crew relations, create appropriate engineering proposals for the clients scope, supervise ground investigations and write both technical and interpretive reports. This is a varied role where I have the opportunity to follow projects from our initial offer to the final billing stages with the client.My diligence to my work and studies has been well noted within my academic and professional careers to date, for instance with my first class honours degree and winning of the John Myers Award, and my motivations to excel have not diminished with time. My independent, curious thinking make me a valuable team member.My ethics and moral principles guide the way I live my life, and I would enjoy working for and respect an employer whom upholds the same values as myself.Outside of work I enjoy a varied social life; I love to dance and listening to music. I am a keen reader, enjoy researching topics outside of academia which interest me greatly, and find spending time outside or doing physical activity bring me great joy. I volunteer several hours a week with an explorer scout troop, and am the District Explorer Scout Commissioner for Hitchin, having overall responsibility for the continued successful running of units containing approximately 100 young people and some 20 adult leaders.I like to think I am a very honest person, and value the integrity and kindness within my personal relationships.
