For both projects, my teams were graded firsts for their research, development, and demonstration of a working concept. Teamwork: Played competitive rugby for seven years, leading and participating in teams of people from across the North-West, efficiently performing under high stress environments where I supported and maintained lasting friendships with players.Problem Solving: Deployed Scratch code which would correct a robot’s trajectory when in motion by using a UV light as a solution for automated driving. Refined remote controller code to teach a microcontroller to ignore sending incorrect signals to an RF receiver.Independent Working: At short notice, learnt to employ the software ‘Android Studio’ to a develop a working app concept. Having had no prior experience or knowledge of app design, I produced a vehicle tracking app which could be implemented for non-commercial use. Competitiveness: Represented Lancashire RFU in matches against Yorkshire and Cheshire after attended various try-outs whilst playing rugby for Fleetwood and Preston Grasshoppers RFU. Being selected to play for Loughborough Student RUFC BUCS, achieving these representations by competing against hundreds of other students and players for the opportunity.
