The Grand Pier is a multi-purpose Entertainment Establishment located on the seafront in Weston Super Mare. During my time at the Grand Pier, I occupied a variety of hospitality and catering roles. These included, Waiter, Bartender, Bar Manager, Team Leader and Junior Catering Manager. Each of these roles allowed me the opportunity to both advance existing skills and obtain new ones. By assuming multiple positions of authority, I was allowed to improve on my leadership, communication and organisational skills in order to ensure that our deadlines were met and that tasks were completed with the utmost efficiency. The other roles I performed ensured that I understood the requirements and importance of working as part of a team, whilst simultaneously achieving the goals set out by my Manager and reporting to a superior. Throughout my time here I learned invaluable people skills that I have utilised more than any other skill to this day.

Right Formula is a renown sports marketing agency who specialise in Formula 1. Whilst interning here I worked supporting the various Senior Account Managers at the company, assisting with creating presentations, Grand Prix scheduling and photographic briefs for various clients. I furthered the application of my language, teamwork and creative skills, whilst learning a considerable amount about the Sporting Industry in general.I furthered my experience by working in unison with Hilton Honours for a weekend at the AAM Scottish Open. This enabled me to get a more hands on approach and work as a face for one of the company's main partners, putting my people skills, obtained and improved from previous roles, to good use.

During my work experience at the RAC, I was mainly based in the Insurance Department where I was taken through everything that encompasses this area of the business and helped with the preparation of presentations and documents for third parties. I spent a considerable amount of time looking at the accounts of the Insurance Department, ensuring that the budgets were in line and new policies were viable.I had further work in the IT department as well as with Marketing on a number of projects, which enabled me to receive a thorough overview of as much of the business' operations as possible.
