The most rewarding business venture of my long career. What began as an idea in 1999 and started very small the following year; SLTC has continually grown to become the most highly recognized facility of its kind in the country. Training lineworkers for the power distribution and transmission industry , SLTC enrolls students from all areas of the country to help fill the employment needs of all types of power companies. With over 1000 graduates yearly both the electrical lineworker and communications lineworker program, Investor owned companies, CO-OPs, Municipals, and Contractors all recruit from SLTC. I constantly run into SLTC graduates and they always say pretty much the same thing... “going to SLTC and working in the power / communications industry is the best career move I ever made.”

Founding SLTC and acting as its president for 18 years was the most rewarding achievement of my long business career. Originally training future employees for the power transmission and distribution industry, we added a communications lineworker program to our curriculum in 2015. With over 1000 graduates annually in both the electrical lineworker program as well as the communications lineworker program , power companies and communication companies highly recruit SLTC grads to fill their employment needs. I constantly run into former students and they all say basically the same thing.... “ choosing SLTC and the power/ communications industry was the best career move could have ever made.” I’m thankful for the rare opportunity to have been part of something that continues to have such a positive impact on the lives of so many young men and women.
