Legal coverage for Citi Markets also includes electronic trading agreements, client-facing platform click agreements, as well as agreements involving strategic ventures. General counsel for The Yield Book Inc. (fixed income analytics platform provider) and Citigroup Index LLC (fixed income indices publisher) subsidiaries of Citi prior to their divestiture earlier in 2017 to the London Stock Exchange Group, with heavy involvement in related M&A transaction activities. Responsibilities included (a) drafting and negotiating product agreements with both buy- and sell-side clients globally (e.g., asset managers, broker-dealers, banks, pension funds, ETF, UCIT and other fund sponsors, government entities, and data aggregators and redistributors), third-party business partners, and market data vendors; (b) co-chairing the Citi Fixed Income Index Governance Committee and providing advice on IOSCO and related benchmark compliance matters; (c) overseeing the trademark portfolio; and (d) handling the corporate secretary function and certain HR-related matters.
