After graduating from Cardiff University with an Honours Degree in Exploration and Resource Geology, George went on to study for his Yachtmaster Offshore qualification; choosing the January course for maximum weather exposure. Upon completion, George gained employment as a Flotilla Skipper and Engineer in the South Ionian, Greece. Returning to the UK, he started work delivering superyachts for Universal Maritime, whilst also engaging with various building developments (Inspired by a life long interest in building of any kind). Re-enforcing his earlier gained knowledge of construction by working as an on-site carpenter, George was able to move seamlessly into the Construction Industry to pursue a more stable, land based career. He is currently a Construction Site Manager working for Fox Construction, based in the South West, and also the owner and director of The Cornish Shepherd's Hut Company, which he builds and manages in his spare time.I am interested in expanding my portfolio and using my dynamic skill set to consider various employment opportunities across the South West; preferably in the management area, either geologically, within geological construction or remaining in building development construction. I have a strong environmental ethos, and would love to work in a renewable energies sector where I can feel my societal contribution is a positive one.
