George Pascal is a seasoned professional with experience in various sectors including healthcare, DoD, and Intelligence. George possesses a powerful combination of expertise in cyber security, program management, risk management, disaster recovery/business continuity, and privacy, as well as over 25 years’ leadership experience in numerous IT roles. In his roles as a PM and DPM George has led an international program and a large intelligence program. He is PMP and Risk Management certified.George recently completed the Harvard Strategic Leadership Cohort and is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon’s Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) Executive Management programs. George continuously enhances his skills in the industry’s most sought-after disciplines, as evidenced by his industry certifications.As a security and governance manager, George has ensured compliance with NIST, RMF, ISO, and various frameworks to mitigate risks in highly regulated industries. In support of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), George led an organization in safeguarding healthcare information and successfully passing numerous audits (internal, customer and third-party audits). An experienced Program Manager in both the Intelligence Community and on an international program, George has led organizations of up to 300 personnel. He has also led engineering efforts on CMS, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Integrated Exploitation Capability Sustainment (IECS), and numerous classified programs across all phases of the engineering lifecycle. George has successfully implemented financial controls to manage large programs. He has led the accreditation of FISMA HIGH General Support Systems (GSS) and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) environments. Recently specializing in safeguarding healthcare data, George has 8 years’ experience as the “named” Systems Security Officer (SSO) on a $1B+ contract supporting the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. George ensures security and compliance across multiple CMS environments and has over 15 years cyber security experience. George holds an extensive list of industry certifications and is an active member of ISC2, ISSA, ISACA, IAPP, and PMI. Recognized by IAPP as a Fellow in Information Privacy, and certified in risk management, George has the program management skill, business acumen, leadership experience, and cyber security expertise to lead your organization to mission success.
