Review research and analyze wire transfers, ACH payments, and Swift messages that warrant further investigation and communication internal and external parties.Investigate possible breaches of regulation/compliance standardsMake recommendations as appropriate and follow-up on implementation of corrective measuresEnsure that all transactions processed are compliant to all external and internal regulations and policiesRecommend False Positives or Learn Phrases to assist in keeping the OFAC hit rate at an acceptable levelProcess daily transactions ensuring that all transactions have been reviewed and properly researched prior to clearing.Proficient in the creation of and updates to the OFAC register Ensures compliance with BSA/AML related laws and regulations and identifies matters of non-compliance and escalates them as necessary for resolutionInvestigate payments that need to be held for regulatory reasons pending additional informationMonitor case investigations to ensure the appropriate initiative is being made and responses are being remitted in a timely manner.Analyze information obtained from case investigations to make a clear determination on the proper course of action to be taken on the payment.Ensure transactions held are effected properly in accordance to the results of the investigation.Participate in departmental and organizational educational programs through tutorials, bulletins, training sessions, etc.Keep abreast of any revisions, both regulatory and operational, which will have an affect the department and the organization.
