I've been involved with engineering since I left school, completing both a level 3 btec and a level 3 apprenticeship in mechanical/ manufacturing engineering. I started off as an apprentice at a roll turning firm back in 2015, from then I've worked in many different manufacturing environments at a constant test of my skill and determination. I've overseen and produced components that range from small chuck work in a lathe the size of a sewing machine to monster shafts as long as a 10 meters. I've also been personally responsible for the maintenance of the machines I run and also in charge of breaking them down and repairing them when things have gone wrong. More recently in 2020 I started a machine shop of my own, Duo Engineering Services, which is a company that I and a colleague I served my apprenticeship with (Ben Pope) set up to fill the void we saw in the manufacturing sector in the north-west for a reliable, competitive and above all quality driven Engineering service that could not only meet customer need but work with anyone to achieve any engineering manufacturing goal.
