A founder director of Acume Forensics, my role is direct customer contact liaising with Law Enforcement clients, attending initial briefings and developing an understanding of the case or incident where our assistance as a company has been sought.Attend review meetings and feed update information and data requests to them acting as a conduit between the often ‘live’ investigation team and our technical staff.Quite often feeding new technologies or processes into the investigation and advising on areas that may assist; such as gathering CCTV or electronic evidence initially instead of towards the end of the live suspect investigation and into the post arrest phase.I have spoken at the Dubai MEPLEX conference on Crime Scene management and Siege management.I have twice been invited to lecture on Electronic Presentations of Evidence at the ‘National Chinese Peoples Republic Security University’ in Beijing. The first in May 2008, and the second time when again invited in October 2008, when I spoke before the 9th in line to the Chairman on the same subject matter.In May 2009 I was also invited to speak at the Scottish SIO conference at Tulliallan, and in September 2009 to attend the inaugural Child Death conference in Leicester , to speak about evidence gathering and presentation at Court. I currently address courses at three UK Universities on professional evidence presentation issues to their Forensic Science courses.In January 2011 I was invited by the Forensic Science Society to speak at their Crime Scene Management conference in Abu Dhabi on the electronic presentation of evidence.
