Management consultant and independent contractor, providing professional project management to building owners, management companies and contractors for construction and commercial roofing projects on private, government and institutional facilities.

As the Director of Commercial Operations for a nationally recognized firm with operations in Gainesville, Jacksonville, Orlando and Fort Myers, my responsibilities included planning, budgeting, profitability and the overall viability of commercial roofing operations. During my employ, our team consistently met or exceeded our objectives through teamwork and diligent oversight of sales, estimating, contract management, purchasing, production and customer relations.

As an Executive Analyst for an international management consulting firm, I performed comprehensive business analysis for clients, throughout North America, to determine each organizations relative strengths and weaknesses. Once deficiencies were clearly defined and quantified, I facilitated the implementation of systems and controls to address and correct each specific concern or deficiency.

As President and CEO, I was accountable for strategic planning and the overall viability of two distinct operations, General Construction and Commercial Roofing. My management responsibilities included monitoring and oversight of administrative, sales, operations and project managers. Other duties included securing new accounts, reviewing and approving major bids, negotiating design build projects and executing major contracts. Our clients included many notable retail and restaurant chains, management companies, developers, contractors and property owners.The Roofing Division, GPA Roofing, specialized in expert installation, maintenance and repair of commercial roof systems. As certified installers for most major manufacturers, we served customers throughout Florida and the Southeast United States.The Construction Division completed projects throughout Florida and across the United States; including new construction and remodeling of restaurants, night clubs, retail and office space, movie theaters, movie studios, warehouses and condominiums. In addition to new construction and remodeling, the company performed building maintenance and repairs, including restoration of fire and water damage.As the founder, owner and primary qualifier for both divisions, I was proficient in every aspect of their operation. I built the company from the ground up with experience gained through many years of hard work, persistence and a commitment to excellence. I sold the business after 16 years of successful operation and moved to Central Florida in September of 2006. I had no significant involvement in operations after the sale; however, I remained on the Board of Directors until September 2008.

I owned and operated a successful employee leasing company, specializing in the construction industry, until the business was sold in 1993. I designed the systems and controls required to automate compiling of weekly payroll information, initiate and track wire transfers, generate payroll checks and distribute payroll as required. I developed and managed relationships with clients and managed all aspects of administration including accounts receivable and payable, state unemployment and federal tax filing, insurance reporting and audits, processing insurance claims, employee screening, hiring, and safety program.

As Founder and President of a company specialized in the fabrication and erection of structural steel, placement of reinforcing steel and fabrication and installation of architectural metal roofing for major commercial and high rise construction projects, my responsibilities included all aspects of the business. We grew from a start up in 1984 to over 300 employees in 1990 when the business was sold. As we grew more successful my duties evolved from managing a couple of crews to being responsible for the overall viability of one of the largest steel companies in South East Florida.
