I press for results and always find solutions to overcome obstacles. I am known to work well with everyone as a manager and always find the bright side of any situation. I give the credit away to others and accept the responsibility for outstanding issues that require my undivided attention. As a side note: I am very athletic and cognizant of my health. I religiously run 3-7 miles each day, weight train also, and I don't smoke or drink. I'm a firm believer in "Sound body / Sound mind & spirit".

The latest +50V GAN and LDMOS devices are used for all designs for the best performance and cost value. ***Note / update: In the first 2/3 months back to IFI, we turned out 4 new designs that are state-of-the-art, and extremely cost $$ effective.Nice to be back at IFI, a great company that turns theory / design into reality in a very timely manor. These new designs will produce megabucks of new system sales.

    US dynamics is a special company in that it designs & repairs, or provides replacement solutions for legacy military equipment. Most of the components used, and the technologies of that era during the 70s & 80s are no longer available. US dynamics re-engineers the replacement hardware to be form, fit and function to the original specifications using the latest technology by taking advantage of LDMOS, GAN and surface mount components.I was responsible for the replacement designs of these legacy hardwares. Most of the designs were for RF Amplifiers, Modulators, attenuators etc... that operate at frequencies from DC to 20GHz. The platforms are typically Airborn Radar and Jamming systems. I used all the latest CAD software to simulate / optimize and finalize designs that when finished, typically exceed the original performance specification with high margins. I use Agilents ADS 2012, Multi-SIM and other CAD programs. I have been using ADS for over 20 years, and was part of the initial beta testing customer group when "Windows" did not yet exist, running ADS on Sun workstations at that time. As usual in my career, I design the RF/Analog and control circuits for the entire design, providing the Printed Circuit Board design in Gerber/.dxf format, schematic and BOM for the final implementation processes to buy, build and test the item. To bad USD had financial management issues and laid off over 20 people at one shot (desperate $$ move), including myself. I sincerely hope they can recover / improve their processes to reduce costs. There was much top-down $$ waste going on there.

    During my 5 year tenure at Instruments for Industry, I designed their entire line of High Power Solid State RF amplifier systems. All of the designs make use of extensive "comonality" to reduce costs. As a result, "IFI" now has many RF Module solutions that share the same mechanical footprint, such that multiple modules can be combined in a standard chassis for any frequency from 10KHz to 6GHz. Most of the designs also share the same control and measurement circuitry to reduce costs. IFI designs and builds RF amplifiers for EMC, Military and Medical applications. I have stategically targeted cirtian technologies for each frequency band (LDMOS, GAN, etc...) to take full advantage of price, and performance making IFI amplifiers extremely competitive in today's bottom dollar market. Imagine... 4 OR 8 LDMOS RF output transistors for 1KW OUTPUT from 10 KHz to 1000 MHz as a typical lineup! THAT IS IMPRESSIVE. I also designed GAN RF amplifier modules from 800 - 6000 MHz in various bands with common mechanical profiles for systems that deliver > 500 Watts.
