The LIFE programme is the EU’s funding instrument for the environment and climate action. The general objective of LIFE is to contribute to the implementation, updating and development of EU environmental and climate policy and legislation by co-financing projects with European added value.

The Ministry works to achieve the protection of the natural environment and resources, the improvement of quality of life, the mitigation and adjustment to the implications of climate change and the enhancement of mechanisms and institutions for environmental governance.

The aim of the project is to strengthen the capacity of National Contact Points for the LIFE Programme, for the effective participation of Greece in LIFE projects, in order to promote environmental and climate policy through integrated projects.
