• General office duties (telephone calls, fax, scan, email, mail, ordering supplies, etc.) • Triage all incoming telephone calls relating to Palliative Medicine consultation referrals and coordinate such consults to the appropriate physician.• Daily communication to all personnel (coverage, meeting notification, hospital updates, department updates, vacation reminders, etc.) • Maintain and report data for Administrative Director of Palliative Medicine as well as for Palliative Physician and Section Head.• Assist with HR paperwork for newly acquired personnel (IT setup, network setup, hospital access, and departmental access) • Assist with HR process (interviewing, hiring paperwork, etc.) • Correspondence to patients (advance directive kits, requested patient education materials, prescriptions, etc.)• Seminar and Event planning (Annual Psychosocial Seminar, Patient Remembrance, Festival of Life, Social Work Month, Pastoral Care Week, etc.) • Cross-departmental work (admitting, patient experience, new patient referrals, scheduling, operators, concierge, etc.) • Meet with various vendors (hospice agencies, home health, SNF, etc.) • Member of Keck Ambassador Board.• Coordinate outpatient consultations and work closely with Clinic managers for the Cancer Center to help with smooth last minute additions.
