I started my computer training business in 1991, and have a wide range of wonderful clients, including the University of Chicago, Northwestern University (School of Law and Medill), Loyola University, and Rush University. I've also been active in my neighborhood, Hyde Park, on the south side of Chicago. As past president of the Hyde Park-Kenwood Community Conference, I have tried to promote openness, transparency, and action in the community development process. At the Coalition for Equitable Community Development, I help advocate for affordable housing in my neighborhood, with special emphasis on senior housing. I helped start the Hyde Park Disabilities Task Force and serve on the board of the foundation that manages the Disabled Adult Residential Enterprise (DARE) building on 55th St.In 2013, I helped start Special Service Area #61, Hyde Park, which is a business-improvement district authorized by the Chicago city Council. I serve as a mayorally-appointed commissioner on the SSA, and am currently vice-chair.Specialties: Community activism, software training. What a duo!
