Main role is to provide technical input and project management support to guide the completion and control of major engineering tasks or services delivery to be completed. Also to provide professional advice, market information, design and technical inputs on developing project plans and selection of contractors, as well as to ensure that the projects are carried out in accordance to the highest safety and quality standards; and monitor completion within budget and schedule.

PROJECT MANAGER (CIVILS/MARINE)A joint venture between VolkerStevin and Boskalis Westminster, to deliver the marine structures and bridge contract for the Port of Dover’s flagship Dover Western Docks Revival (DWDR) development.With a contract value of £115m, this construction stage will include the design and build of two new berths including quay walls and land reclamation, a new marina pier, the marina curve, navigation channel and new lock gates, bascule bridge and capital dredging work.Manage and drive Ancillary and Civils Sections, leading a team of 50 including works managers, foremen and engineers. Implement all HSE rules and Safety First policy. Coordinate and cooperate with all departments to deliver a successful project. Responsible for adding value to the project, manage risks, motivate team members to perform and exceed expectations and achieve effective hand-over as per contractual dates and within budget.

Manage and drive Structures section (10 principal structures and 10 culverts). Implement all HSE rules and “Zero Harm” policy. Confirm adequacy of control documentation including RAMS, permits, TBS, and lifting operations. Apply systems and processes to support construction according to established specifications (material approval, NCR, handover documentation). Coordinate with designer to resolve all technical issues. Led 40-member construction team. Managed subcontractors for steel reinforcement works and utilities testing. Directed daily site inspections to ensure quality of all works. Accurately forecasted resources to avoid interruptions in operations. Coordinated with other project sections to achieve project goals and ensure all required quality standards were met. • Ensured all HSE rules were implemented correctly; achieved 110,000 man-hours with 0 accidents/lost time• Coordinated storage, preparation, and transportation on site for installation of all project steel reinforcement and fabrication • Spearheaded construction and testing of all utility networks including: 1.
