I strongly believe that mentally stimulating productive work is a vital component of our existence. I also believe in the significance of being able to face ourselves in the mirror each day and truthfully assert that we've given our utmost to our employer and everyone we've encountered. I consider myself forthright, clever, with a tinge of sarcasm (the language of the intellectually inclined!), and I am committed to putting in the extra effort to achieve excellence in my work. My tenure in the teaching field, along with my professional background, has enhanced my abilities as a comedian, master of ceremonies, advisor, mentor, problem-solver, adept content creator, coordinator, exemplar, and significantly honed my literacy skills. Furthermore, should your institution require the expertise of a highly educated, innovative, dependable, adaptable, determined, principled, empathetic, self-motivated team member, I confidently affirm possessing these attributes.I hold a BBA in Marketing/Education. Currently, I’m an instructor for high school English courses at a rural South Texas High School. My teaching experience of over two decades spans different size districts –urban and rural– including coaching high school boys basketball and I’ve also worked in the private business sector. I’ve delved into both captive and retail sides of automobile financing, excelling with numbers while constantly striving to refine my skills as a wordsmith. As someone who values both reading and physical activity and exercise, I liken reading to exercising the brain. Recognizing the importance of a clear mind I’ve discovered that a serene environment is essential – a space that fosters peace and clarity rather than chaos and clutter. I’m eager to explore new opportunities that will leverage my diverse skill set to its fullest. My network spans across various social strata, and I’m fluent in two languages enabling me to connect and resonate with individuals from all walks of life. I maintain an easy going personality, understanding the balance between fun and seriousness. Away from work and to be able to recharge my battery my interests encompass real estate, advertising, savoring meals at diners, cycling, bowling, landscaping, board games, sports, music and dogs.
