I am a health industry and academic health science system digital, technology and analytics senior executive, 6x CIO with the experiences of a Big Four information technology (IT) consulting partner. Being a results oriented strategist, I masterfully translate business goals into operating tactics. I have a track record in facilitating change, team building, and mentoring, as well as strong competencies in solution selling, vendor management, project management, process redesign, and technology integration. I obtained board memberships with leading healthcare industry organizations and maintain a national industry presence, resulting in a vibrant expansive network.During the worst of the pandemic in 2020, my team expanded remote workforce capabilities rapidly at scale; implemented multiple telehealth platforms, innovated communications and clinical engineering “distancing” applications and technologies to reduce clinical workforce exposures and conserve personal protective equipment (PPE). My team also provided all manner of data analytics visualizations and dashboards for predicting infection spread and support of clinical operations.I actively work to advance and promote the healthcare digital & information management field. Joining at its founding in 1992, I am a charter member of CHiME. I have been chair of the board of directors as well as the CHiME Foundation chair and the Education Foundation chair . I am a CHiME Fellow, Life Member and active faculty member of the Healthcare CIO Boot Camp teaching an intense four-day program covering IT governance and building transformational teams, among other topics. I am the board secretary for MedAllies, and have also held board roles at KLAS and Hixny. As a dedicated member of the mission-driven nonprofit HIMSS since 1982, I am now a LifeFellow. I chaired its national/international board of directors, formed and chaired the compensation committee, sat on the HIMSS Analytics board after its acquisition, and have had state chapter responsibilities in New York and Pennsylvania. Additional leadership activity includes current and past advisory and/or fiduciary board roles with MedAllies, Allscripts, Cerner, UAlbany Cybersecurity degree program, and Mediant Health advisory; past industry magazine and journal reviewer; public speaker; published healthcare IT planning field book, other book chapters and numerous articles. Under my leadership, Albany Med received eight straight Most Wired awards.
