    I worked in all aspect of magnetic mine warfare, but attack and mine defense. I was responsible for development and testing of components of magnetic mines and other ordnance. I worked closely with the companies producing the components and the NSWC project manager overseeing the project or program.As a member of the NSWC Research Department I was involved in two programs. I was the project manager on the development, installation and test of an underwater electromagnetic range used to measure the signatures of naval vessels. The signatures were used to develop mine defense systems. I later worked on projects to develop and test infrared optics systems used in anti-missle defense.

I worked with contractors to develop and test magnetometers, gradiometers and coil systems to be used in magnetic field measurement and generation.
