As Chief Medical Officer, I led clinical operations, connecting and aligning 35+ enterprise clinical leaders and 800 total physicians (250 employed physicians). I managed cross-functional teams to create innovative clinical pathways and decision support tools, which were aligned to cost-avoiding standardization and utilization management. I led my team in development of the national CTCA Institutes -- disease-site service line programs -- transforming the practice of medicine to high-reliability, standardized, evidence-based care while incorporating innovative clinical trials research. Under my leadership, physician financial reporting is standardized, and a value-based physician compensation and contracting model were developed. I created the created physician leadership development program and launched CTCA Medical Group, concentrating on physician business operations. For reporting clinical, financial, and marketing productivity across the five hospitals, I continue to guide my team to transform corporate metrics and processes.

As Chief of Staff, I oversaw clinical and research programs and processes. We achieved 150% growth in number of patients served in the first year of operation and 300% growth in the second year, representing the most dramatic expansion and fastest to profitability in CTCA's history. I supervised, evaluated, mentored and developed personnel and direct reports; maintained exceptional standards of patient care. We quickly established our medical center as a highly credible, respected regional referral cancer center by recruiting, developing and retaining physicians, executives, administrators, clinicians, and other staff members with strong regional reputations, adding top-level talent and increasing patient numbers. As an external representative of CTCA, I am featured on CTCA's national television commercials and interviewed frequently to tell the organization's story, build its brand, and enhance its reputation.
