George Wang is the Chairman of AIMS Financial Group and an active participant in both the Australian and Asia financial services industries.Established in 1991, AIMS is a diversified financial services and investment group, active in the areas of lending, securitisation, investment banking, funds management , properties investment and stock exchange ownership.During the GFC , AIMS expanded its business in a time when many other businesses were experieincing immense difficulties.In October 2008, AIMS acquired and fully owned Sydney Stock Exchange.In August 2009, AIMS acquired the ASX listing Fund Manager -MacarthurCook(MCK) with A$1.1 Billion under management . MCK had four listing funds, two listing in ASX , one listing in SGX and other listing in NYSE. MCK also have 9 un-list funds.In May 2015, AIMS acquired BBY. BBY was the largest independent full service stockbroker in Australia and New Zealand , BBY has over A$2 billion in assets under administration and have over A$7billion worth of completed capital raisings. BBY has renamed to APP Securities .AIMS has raised about AUD 4 Billion in funds from the capital markets. AIMS issued about AUD 3 Billion RMBS with most of them rated AAA by both S&P and Fitch Ratings, and has originated close A$10 billions of mortgage.AIMS APAC Reits listing in singapore stock exchange with assets S$2.5 billions under management.
